Simulated Welding Robot Layout
April 1, 2025
At a recent demonstration, Visual Components offered attendees a hands-on experience with a fully immersive welding robot layout. Guests had the opportunity to select from more than a dozen robot vendors, and through a head-mounted display (HMD), experienced how simulating robotic integration in a virtual environment before installation provides a quicker return on robotic investments and higher production efficiency.
In addition to the company's simulation software, Visual Components showcased its offline programming (OLP) robotic software. Compatible with any industrial robot brand, process or complexity, Visual Components leverages the flexibility of its software to integrate with the customer and not the other way around.
"We start each new project by asking customers what their biggest concern is," said Graham Wloch, Director of Business Development at Visual Components. "For manufacturers adding robotics to their production floor, the answer is most often related to ensuring the quickest return on their capital investment."
According to a company spokesperson, "Visual Components' OLP improves robot utilization rate with fast, accurate and error-free programing. Manufacturers decrease downtime because robots can continue working on the production floor while programmers update or re-program them from anywhere. In addition, OLP software from Visual Components stores process knowledge, making it simple to reuse programs and preserve institutional information."
