Franklin Precision Castings Adds DN Solutions HC 400 II HMC

Franklin Precision Castings has announced the purchase of a new DN Solutions HC 400 II HMC.

This is the first horizontal machine at Franklin's in-house machine shop, expanding its capacity to handle a wider range of part sizes and quantities, boosting production efficiency and enabling quicker delivery times.

The DN Solutions HC 400 II HMC is a high-precision compact center equipped with capacity of 40 tools and 7,500 RMP spindle. The center provides larger capacity in part size and quantity, and dual pallets that allow for simultaneous loading and cutting. These features enable parts to be finished without secondary operations in another machine.

"We are excited to expand and strengthen our capabilities with the addition of the DN Solutions HC 400 II. The dual pallets allow us to load the machine while its cutting-reducing our lead times to customers," said Rick Wolbert, Machine Shop Manager.

Initially acquired for defense applications, the machine will support many industries, including glass, food processing, oil and gas, pumps and valves and specialized hardware.

This is the fifth DN Solutions machining center and the fourth machine purchased and installed from Allegheny Machine Tool Systems at Franklin Precision Castings.
